As a long-time Disney enthusiast and someone who has grown up with the magical melodies of their films, I am beyond thrilled about the upcoming release of Moana 2! The unveiling of the soundtrack, led by none other than Auli’i Cravalho with her powerful rendition of “Beyond,” has only fueled my anticipation for this extraordinary sequel.
Even though Moana 2 is roughly two weeks from its release, Disney has already revealed the complete soundtrack for the movie.
On Thursday, the 7th of November, Disney Music unveiled “Beyond,” which is the inaugural complete track from the forthcoming sequel.
The released version you’re referring to is a performance of the end credits song, sung by none other than the movie’s leading actress, Auli’i Cravalho.
As a devoted cinematic enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that Barlow and Bear are the new melodists for the upcoming sequel. They’ve gracefully picked up where Lin-Manuel Miranda left off, having crafted the enchanting soundtrack for the original film.
They join returning musical masterminds Opetaia Foa’i and Mark Mancina for the sequel.

In a statement, Beyond, Barlow, and Bear noted that while composing this work, they engaged in conversations with numerous individuals hailing from Oceania and the Polynesian Islands. A shared sentiment among them was their profound bond with their ancestral roots and the respect they hold for their forebears.
Though the journey ahead seems intimidating to Moana, she feels compelled to embark on it. It terrifies and excites her because it’s a summons from her ancestors. Moreover, the notion that the ocean unites us all is deeply rooted in Pacific Island and navigation cultures.
Cravalho expressed: “It significantly resonated with me, being someone who strongly identifies with my cultural background. It’s all about exceeding your personal limits, stepping out of your comfort zone, and not only for your own sake, but for the benefit of your community.
