*Warning – contains full spoilers for the MobLand finale*
The initial run of MobLand has concluded on a suspenseful note, as it appears that Harry’s life hangs precariously in the scales following his wife, Jan, inflicting a stab wound on him.
As I stood there, dicing carrots in the kitchen, Tom Hardy’s character and Joanne Froggatt were engaged in a heated argument. In the heat of the moment, she lashed out and unfortunately, ended up stabbing him. Shocked by my actions, I could only sit down as he dealt with the consequences.
However, could this be the last we see of Harry on the show, or might there be additional episodes featuring him? Fortunately, writer and executive producer Jez Butterworth has given us a clue by disclosing what happens to Harry in the storyline.
Butterworth stated to the New York Post: “To put it simply, Harry is not deceased. After all, we adore Harry, and we adore Tom as well.

I thought throughout the entire story, the ball that continually dropped was his personal life. It added a sense of high drama that after enduring ten episodes of fire, the outcome at the end turned out to be something he wasn’t anticipating.
In a different part of the climax, Eddie uncovered the truth about his lineage; it turned out that he was Conrad’s child with Bella, not Kevin’s, which made Kevin his sibling instead.
As I watched the unfolding of events, I found myself stunned to discover that it was none other than O’Hara who was the rat. The revelation was swiftly followed by her demise along with Ritchie, leaving a chilling silence behind them. However, amidst the gloom, Conrad found solace in the cheers from his fellow inmates as he remained confined within the prison walls.
Additionally, Harry made it clear that he would not betray the Harrigan family to Kat, which could lead to conflicts between them if there are more seasons ahead.
Tom Hardy had shared with The Hollywood Reporter that it’s indeed part of their intentions to produce a second season for the show. However, the uncertainty lies in whether the series will expand its reach on a global scale.
He pointed out that organized crime has a global aspect, which is implied in season 1. This includes the management of drugs, ammunition, weapons, people, and various other items that transit through Europe, as well as Africa, South America, Pakistan, and beyond. The goods being traded can range from common commodities to those moving within Europe.
In every European nation, there are influential families competing for power to facilitate the transportation of specific goods. However, the question arises: Who ensures fairness in this process and how does it fit into the broader context of global dynamics?
