Ariel Winter has a modern outlook on life.
Since the ABC sitcom “Modern Family” ended in 2020 and Alex Dunphy, one of its alums, no longer wears her iconic glasses, she has been focusing on herself. This includes a challenging choice to leave Los Angeles behind, seeking a more peaceful life outside the bustling celebrity-filled city.
Ariel, 26, shared with TopMob News in an exclusive chat that L.A.’s energy never quite resonated with her, but she was hesitant. However, when the chance came along, she felt it was perfect timing because she’s currently embracing change and focusing on healing, growth, and personal evolution. This new experience has broadened her horizons significantly.
But even with this huge alteration in her life, some things never change. Like her close bond with her Modern Family costars.
At the fourth Annual Legacy Ball held on October 5, her longtime boyfriend Luke Benward was joined by her on-screen brother Nolan Gould to present the evening’s highest honor, which she received when she was awarded the Legacy Award. Over the course of 11 seasons, Ariel and Nolan portrayed siblings on TV, but their bond extends beyond the screen in real life as well.
She clarified, “My sibling is him,” highlighting the unique bond they share. They were each other’s first cherished friend, a truly special connection. Their paths crossed when he was 10 and I was 11, and since then, we’ve navigated numerous phases of life together. Through thick and thin, our friendship has remained unwavering.
As for the rest of her Modern Family cast, well, their family dynamic is still just as strong.
She enthusiastically expressed her affection for everyone, remarking that ‘it’s incredible’ because ‘when you invest a lot of time together, you truly embody the bond of a real family.’
That love has endured even in the four years since the cameras stopped rolling.
Ariel acknowledged that it’s challenging after working closely with someone for 12 years, only to find everyone scattered now. He added, “It feels like they’ve just vanished,” he said. “We make an effort to stay connected as often as possible.
In the midst of significant change, Sofia the First’s actress has found support in her partner, Luke, who has been by her side for five years. The foundation of their bond lies in a strong friendship.
In Ariel’s words to TopMob, she emphasized that a strong bond of friendship is crucial in a partnership because it provides the strength to withstand various challenges: “There are numerous elements involved in a partnership, but what I value most is a deep friendship.
Regarding the future plans for the actress who played in “Girl Vs. Monster” at age 29, Ariel is simply content to enjoy the journey as it unfolds.
She expressed her affection, saying, “I adore him.” She continued, “No matter what lies ahead for us, it’s ours to navigate. We have our furry children in the form of dogs, and we cherish every moment of our lives together.
