Monaco 2 major update launches June 18 – adds PvP mode, four new levels, and eight new player skins

On June 18th, game developers Pocketwatch Games in collaboration with Humble Games will roll out a free update for the heist simulation game, Monaco 2. This update includes a new multiplayer mode where players compete against each other, four brand-new levels to explore, and eight unique character skins inspired by the original cast of Monaco: What’s Yours is Mine.

In the fresh player-versus-player mode of Monaco 2, the individual who gathers 200 coins in this intense, four-player free-for-all competition emerges victorious. Surely a task that any seasoned thief can handle, correct? However, accumulating coins isn’t your only challenge. The mode features limited ammunition and thrilling high-speed pursuits, resulting in chaotic, adrenaline-pumping confrontations. Coins will pop up at various points throughout the level as time passes, and defeating one of your opponents allows you to snatch a portion of their loot. Take a look at how each of the three new PVP levels introduces unique twists to increase the chaos level even further.

  • The Cafe Shootout – The race is on in this arena as you’ll want to loot 200 coins before everyone else. Keep your eye on the leaderboard and try to take down anyone ahead and loot some of their coins. Make sure your aim is good, your ammo is limited.
  • The Hotel – Not only will you need to steal your way to 200 coins, you’ll have to do it without the civilians in the bustling hotel noticing your sticky fingers. Oh also, you can teleport.
  • The Graveyard – The danger level amps up in this level as guards lurk around the graveyard waiting to stop your gold grabbing antics. You’ll not only need to be faster than your opponents but also sneakier.

Apart from introducing fresh stages and exciting player-versus-player action, eight new character skins inspired by “Monaco: What’s Yours is Mine” will also be available for players. In response to fan suggestions, Pocketwatch Games has implemented numerous balance adjustments across later stages in the game, particularly on the demanding Prison level.

Ever since its debut in April, the game titled “Monaco 2” has incorporated features like Steam Cloud Saves and Steam Remote Play, as well as enhancements aimed at improving user experience and game balance. Starting June 18, aspiring thieves will be able to enjoy all the new downloadable content that’s been added.
