Monster Hunter gets the collab of the century: Hello Kitty Island Adventure’s resident stalker Cinnamoroll joins Capcom’s puzzle game to stare at you without blinking

Capcom, developers of Monster Hunter, have teamed up with the popular Japanese character manufacturer Sanrio. As a result, their mobile game Monster Hunter Puzzles: Felyne Isles will now feature the adorable Cinnamoroll. I can’t help but feel emotional and a bit overwhelmed by this exciting news!

While Sanrio portrays Cinnamoroll as a timid yet friendly sugar cloud on their website, some people who prefer unvarnished truth may see him differently after playing Hello Kitty Island Adventure. In this game, Cinnamoroll appears less as a friend and more like an insistent follower or admirer. Regardless of perspective, it’s hard to deny his irresistibly endearing charm, isn’t it?

According to a recent announcement, starting today until Sunday, March 16th, players will have an opportunity to collaborate with Cinnamoroll. Instead of his regular café settings, this friendly pooch is swapping for the untamed, monster-infested terrains of Monster Hunter Puzzles. By successfully completing challenges within these themed landscapes, players can collect special, sweetly-themed prizes!

Among the features, you’ll find a customizable Cinnamoroll house that turns your home’s exterior into the ominous face of this sweet character, complete with pink cupcakes replacing traditional flower pots in the yard. Players can also collect cosmetic items such as the Cinnamoroll backpack, full-body suit, and just his distinctive turquoise eyes, allowing them to feel what it’s like to have no eyelids, much like the character itself.

The trailer showcases: Waddling onto cobblestones as if his short legs are filled with cookie dough, Cinnamoroll nonchalantly waves at you without a blink. In the match-3 gameplay of Felyne Isles, putting your character in a full Cinnamoroll costume lets it also peer into the void. Whether the void gazes back is something only you and Cinnamoroll can discover.
