Capcom recently declared that Monster Hunter Rampage sold 8 million units in just three days, setting a new sales record for the company. This game outperformed its predecessor, Monster Hunter World, which previously held the title of Capcom’s fastest-selling game, by a substantial margin. When Monster Hunter World was first released several years ago, it managed to sell 5 million units in just three days and has since reached a total of 25 million sales. Based on Capcom’s statements, the success of Monster Hunter Wilds can be attributed to multiple open betas, a strong marketing campaign, and its widespread appeal. This game has made history on Steam as it ranked among the top five concurrent players with over 1.3 million users on March 1, 2025, making it the fifth most played game, following PUBG, Black Myth: Wukong, Palworld, and Counter-Strike 2.
