Monster Hunter Wilds Credits Error Exposed – Fans Are Furious!

Capcom has recently acknowledged that it made an error in the credits of the recent Monster Hunter Wilds, incorrectly attributing one role to the wrong voice actor. While mistakes in a game’s credits are not entirely unusual, it’s also not very common for a company to come forward and apologize for the error, like the Monster Hunter Wilds team did.

In February, Monster Hunter Wilds was launched and received positive feedback from many critics. However, some fans felt that it was too simple, but the game’s combat mechanics were highly appreciated. Monster Hunter Wilds has proven to be commercially successful as well, as it surpassed Capcom’s expectations by selling over 8 million units within just three days of its release, making it their fastest-selling title.

Now, Capcom has publicly acknowledged via a Monster Hunter social media account that the game currently has a mistake in its credits. The voice of the character Roqul in Azuz has been credited to the wrong voice actor instead of Ben Balmaceda, who played the role. In the social media post, Capcom apologized for the mistake and promised that the credits would be corrected with the Free Title Update 1, which will be out early in April. While it’s somewhat disheartening to see this kind of mistake in one of the most anticipated games of 2025, it’s at least reassuring to see that these problems have been identified and will be corrected soon.

The Free Title Update 1 will be the first major update that the game will receive, but since the title’s release, Capcom has been fixing several of the problems that Monster Hunter Wilds had. Monster Hunter Wilds already unveiled the patch notes for an update earlier this month, which listed a few issues that would be corrected in the popular action RPG. Some of these glitches included Meal Invitations that were not occurring for sme people, cases of gamers finding floating rubble while exploring the world, and one game-breaking issue with the “Omens” Mission in Chapter 5-1 that prevented players from completing it.

Despite these missteps, it’s impossible to deny how successful Monster Hunter Wilds has been since its release. Likely due to this success, the senior producer of the game, Ryozo Tsujimoto, has recently been promoted to Chief Product Officer at Capcom. When talking about what some are calling ” the golden age of Capcom,” Tsujimoto said that the team will keep working hard so that this era can last for longer.
