As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of hunting monsters under my belt, let me tell you, the revelation of Congalala in Monster Hunter Wilds has sent shivers down my spine! I remember battling this Fanged Beast back in Monster Hunter 2, and now they’ve returned, bigger and badder than ever.
At the Tokyo Game Show, Capcom organized a live event for Monster Hunter Rise, showcasing gameplay from their hands-on demo. The event was rich in details, such as the 60 frames per second speed on PS5, and it unveiled a brand new monster: Congalala.
First introduced in “Monster Hunter 2”, Congala is a species of Fanged Beast that generally keeps to itself. However, intrude on their territory and they’ll become extremely aggressive, much like Rajang. Moreover, the latest addition of the Herd system in “Wilds” means you’ll also encounter smaller Congalas to contend with.
Some interesting aspects to note are:
Monster Hunter Wilds launches on February 28th, 2025, for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
