Monster Hunter Wilds: How to Catch Nu Yaya

In the game ‘Monster Hunter Wilds‘, it’s rare to come across the young of most monsters. However, this changes when players encounter ‘The Black Flame’.

Nu Udra is a new apex monster in Monster Hunter Wilds that is the source of a rare form of endemic life. Most endemic creatures can simply be found in their natural habitats. However, the offspring of The Black Flame require a perfect storm of nature’s ferocity in order to hatch.

How to Find and Catch Nu Yaya

Nu Yaya is a rare form of endemic life that is the offspring of the Apex Creature of the Oilwell Basin, Nu Udra. Certain conditions must be met and experienced by the player in order for this endemic creature to spawn. To start, there must be a tempered Nu Udra present on the map when exploring the Oilwell Basin. Certain natural events can influence certain creatures and how they spawn. However, they are not contributing factors to this particular endemic creature.

Alright, let me see. I need to find the tempered Nu Udra on the map and then travel to its nest in Zone 17. Once there, I should come across an overarching tree where I’ll find some Nu Udra eggs. If Alma makes a comment about these eggs, that means I’ve met the specific conditions required. Got it! Let’s get started on this quest.

After finishing your task, navigate back to any camp within the Oilwell Basin and choose the ‘rest’ option. This will enable you to pick the time of day and the specific natural event occurring when you wake up. While time isn’t crucial, make sure to select the ‘Plenty’ conditions since Nu Yaya appear only during this particular event. Afterward, head back to Zone 17, where you will be welcomed by numerous floating Nu Udra infants hovering around a radiant blue tree.

To then ensure a successful capture, simply prepare your capture net in your inventory so it is equipped for your slinger. As you aim with the net, your crosshair will shift to a rectangular design that will glow orange once your desired target is in range. Once it is, simply release the net at the Nu Yaya by pulling the trigger once your crosshair glows orange over it. These creatures are extremely calm and slow-moving, making them easy targets to capture.
