Ah, dear fellow hunters! As a seasoned veteran of the New World, who’s braved countless beasts and emerged victorious with naught but my trusty Lance or Dual Blades in hand, let me tell you, these new additions to Monster Hunter Wilds have me positively giddy!
After a series of exciting preview trailers, Capcom has wrapped up showcasing weapons for Monster Hunter Rise, featuring the Lance and Dual Blades. The Lance stands as the epitome of defense, offering protection against some of the game’s most powerful blows, while the Dual Blades boast exceptional agility and rapid attacks. You can see them in action below.
As a devoted admirer, I’d say that while the Lance primarily shines in defense, it packs quite a punch when it comes to stun damage, all thanks to its versatile shield. With the latest Focus Mode feature, players can perform a rising shield bash, followed by a charging bash and a swift poke, making for an exciting gameplay experience!
Regarding the Dual Blades, they offer a distinctive take on the Heavenly Blade Dance. In Monster Hunter Rise, players perform a similar action, but now can jump onto and grapple monsters for a spinning attack. This move is another Focus Strike and appears quite powerful.
The winning streak for weapon videos in Monster Hunter Wilds may be over, but there’s still excitement ahead at Gamescom Opening Night Live! Capcom is set to reveal a fresh new trailer, and players will have an opportunity to get their hands on the game directly from multiple stations available during the event.
