Monster Hunter Wilds Leads Capcom’s Gamescom 2024 Lineup

As a seasoned gamer with decades of hunting monsters under my belt, the news about Monster Hunter Wilds taking centerstage at Gamescom this year has me hopping with joy! Having hunted countless beasts across various iterations, I can confidently say that Capcom never disappoints when it comes to delivering an immersive and challenging experience.

As a devoted fan, I can’t help but get excited as Gamescom draws nearer! More details about the upcoming showcase from various companies are trickling out, and the latest news from Capcom has piqued my interest. It appears that “Monster Hunter Rise” will be the main attraction, which comes as no surprise to me, a dedicated fan of the series.

At Gamescom, taking place from August 21st to the 25th, Capcom will unveil Monster Hunter Wilds for the first time in public. Over sixty demo stations will offer players a chance to play this action RPG, and series producer Ryozo Tsujimoto, executive director and art director Kaname Fujioka, as well as director Yuya Tokuda, are expected to be there as well.

Previously announced, Monster Hunter Wilds will make another appearance at Gamescom Opening Night Live on August 20th. Simultaneously, Capcom plans to exhibit the upcoming Ace Attorney Investigations Collection at their booth, allowing players an early chance to try it out before its September launch.

Besides the two previously mentioned games, Capcom is also planning to introduce several past titles at Gamescom. To be more specific, this includes Street Fighter 6 (offering players a chance to try out the upcoming guest DLC character Terry Bogard), Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, and Monster Hunter Now.

As Capcom prepares for its spectacular Gamescom event, it has also been unveiling fresh gameplay trailers for “Monster Hunter World,” demonstrating various weapons like the Heavy Bowgun, Great Sword, Insect Glaive, among others.

Monster Hunter Wilds is due out in 2025 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
