As an avid fan, I find myself immersed in the thrilling world of “Monster Hunter Wilds,” nestled within the enigmatic Forbidden Lands. The Research Commission sends us, their agents, on a mission to unravel its secrets, which leads us straight into the pursuit of Arkveld, also known as the White Wraith. Breaking away from past installments, “Wilds” grants us the freedom to establish our campsite anywhere and embark on continuous monster hunts without having to return to base.
The fundamental principles of hunting and creating targets for crafting and enhancing weapons and armor remain unchanged. If you need assistance, you can call for help from other players, but there’s also a solo alternative with friendly NPC allies. Unlike in Monster Hunter Rise, players are allowed to have up to three AI companions to aid them instead.
Monster Hunter Wilds launches on February 28th, 2025, for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.
