If you’re unsure about checking if your computer system meets the requirements to play a game because you’re new to PC technology or you’ve simply forgotten the process, here’s a simple guide:

  • Type dxdiag in your Windows taskbar.
  • Choose dxdiag to run the diagnostic tool and get your info.
  • The system tab will show memory information for your Windows PC.
  • The display tab has all the info you need on your graphics capabilities.

If your setup falls short of certain essential specifications for running Monster Hunter Wilds, you might have to determine which component requires improvement. Should you find that you need more RAM, this can typically be remedied with an upgrade. On the other hand, if your computer’s central processing unit (CPU) is significantly outdated, it could be wise to invest in a completely new system instead.

If you don’t mind playing without PC mods or aren’t keen on investing a lot in PC upgrades, another option is to buy an Xbox Series X|S for your gaming needs.

Can Monster Hunter Wilds run on gaming handhelds?

Today, portable gaming gadgets such as Valve’s Steam Deck and ASUS ROG Ally are incredibly popular. They offer an excellent choice for both secondary or even primary means of enjoying computer games during travel, whether it’s for business trips overseas or social visits to a friend’s place.

As a researcher examining handheld gaming consoles, I must point out that they fall short in several areas when compared to a full-fledged PC gaming setup. The main issue lies in the fact that these devices offer very few possibilities for upgrading their hardware specifications beyond simply increasing data storage capacity.

At this point, specific details about Monster Hunter Wilds’ compatibility with various devices aren’t readily available. However, considering the game’s PC system requirements, we anticipate these are our estimates for how the game might perform on portable devices:

Will Monster Hunter Wilds run on Steam Deck?

It’s quite doubtful that Monster Hunter Wilds can run efficiently enough to be fun on the Steam Deck due to its minimum system specifications exceeding what the handheld device from Valve can manage.

Will Monster Hunter Wilds run on ASUS ROG Ally?

The ASUS ROG Ally and its upgraded version, the ASUS ROG Ally X, boast superior technology over the Steam Deck. This superior tech, especially the Z1 Extreme chip it possesses, makes them more capable of running Monster Hunter Wilds effectively.

Occasionally, PC games might not perform as expected according to their system specifications due to differences in optimization. Yet, theoretically, the game should function on the ASUS ROG Ally if you’re willing to adjust its graphic settings for better performance.
