The long anticipation between the announcement of Monster Hunter Worlds and its release has finally come to an end, with the finish line for launch within sight. It’s now time to prepare your meals, concoct potions, and sharpen your weapons. Fortunately, there won’t be a special “early access” period for PC users, so you can relax knowing there’s no rush to prepare. However, make sure to check when preloading the game is available to ensure a smooth starting experience.

If you participated in either of the beta tests for Monster Hunter World and Iceborne, or if you have saved data from these games, you’re in store for a variety of rewards to kickstart your next hunt! By joining the beta test or creating a character, you’ll receive a Felyne hanger for your weapon or Seikret, along with an item pack. Save files from other games will net you themed armor sets and weapons as well.

Monster Hunter Wilds release date

Monster Hunter Wilds will debut on February 28 worldwide, except for players in Los Angeles and Mexico City who can start playing a day early due to time differences. Don’t worry if you’re starting to feel envious; this early access doesn’t offer any advantage within the game itself. Instead, Monster Hunter Wilds is releasing simultaneously across all regions.

Yes, Monster Hunter Wilds will be available to preload on PC from 9 pm PT on Tuesday, February 25. There’s no early access for the game, but at least the ability to preload means you won’t have to wait around for a download before you can get in on the fun. Trust us, you’ll want to go ahead and get everything ready so you can jump straight in as soon as possible.

You’ll be able to preload the game from the Monster Hunter Wilds Steam page as soon as it unlocks at 9 pm PT. From there it’s just a case of waiting for the game to unlock on February 28.
