Monster Hunter Wilds Update: New Monsters, Gameplay Reveals, and More in Live Showcase!

Capcom shared on their social platforms that they are planning to hold a demonstration of new gameplay features, which is part of the initial “Free Title Update” for Monster Hunter World, scheduled to release around the beginning of April.

The demonstration is scheduled for Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at 10:00 AM Eastern Time (ET), 7:00 AM Pacific Time (PT), or 2:00 PM Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), streaming live on the official Twitch channel dedicated to Monster Hunter Wilds.

In this sneak peek at the gameplay, players will catch a glimpse of what’s in store for them with the initial update. This includes fresh monsters to battle, such as Mizutsune coming back from Monster Hunter Rise, and hitherto unannounced beasts that are more powerful than Tempered Monsters.

Additionally, it gives you a glimpse into the Gathering Hub, a social space where players can interact and converse, before assembling teams to venture out on missions together.

Capcom hints at more enhancements besides just balance adjustments and bug fixes in the upcoming update for Monster Hunter Rise. Therefore, it’s reasonable to expect that the game will undergo changes in this area, however, specific details about these improvements will be revealed during the live broadcast.

Are you ready to hunt the slippery Mizutsune in Monster Hunter Wilds?

As a dedicated enthusiast of the Monster Hunter universe, I’m right in the thick of it with Monster Hunter Wilds, a title that’s currently setting the series ablaze with over a million hunters simultaneously online via Steam. Yet, this game has sparked a lively debate among both critics and fellow fans.

Most critics are generally very positive about the game, even Jez Corden who reviewed Monster Hunter Worlds, while some fans critique it for subpar PC performance and an overly complex multiplayer setup.

I’ve been quite vocal about the challenges faced by Monster Hunter Worlds, including its perceived ease level, a scarcity of post-game content, and the intricate yet limiting equipment and skill system it employs.

I’m eagerly anticipating that the initial update, labeled as “Title Update,” will tackle these problems to allow Monster Hunter Worlds to fully unleash its concealed brilliance, transforming it into an exceptional game once more and restoring the intricate challenge that initially captivated fans like myself with this beloved franchise.

The highly-anticipated follow-up to Capcom’s critically acclaimed Xbox and PC games, Monster Hunter World, titled Monster Hunter Wilds, is now up for grabs following its release on February 28, 2025. You can purchase it for the Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, or PC via Steam.
