As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent in various realms and dimensions, I must say that the announcement of Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault has filled my heart with a peculiar mix of nostalgia and anticipation. Having traversed the labyrinthine dungeons of the original game, I can only imagine what Digital Sun has in store for us this time around.
The Endless Vault,” this sequel was announced during the PC Gaming Show: Most Wanted and is set for release in 2025 on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch. The main character, Will, returns in this new adventure, and unlike the original, the game features a fully three-dimensional art style. You can get a glimpse of it below.
After the happenings of the first game, Will finds himself in the town of Tresna. The primary objective still stands: explore dungeons, gather and market relics. As your wealth increases, you can craft superior armor and weapons to delve even further into the ever-evolving dungeons.
Additionally, you could enhance your store by making necessary improvements, and overseeing its management will still require tasks like assisting customers and tidying up any unexpected clutter or messes. Moreover, other storefronts such as the returning blacksmith’s and witch’s shops can also benefit from updates, offering services that might aid in dungeon exploration.
Let’s observe if it lives up to the first game as improvements are made, but so far, Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault appears promising enough to be a decent follow-up. Keep an eye out for future developments in the meantime.
