Mortal Kombat 1 Reveals Takeda Release Date With New Gameplay Trailer

As a long-time fan of Mortal Kombat, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming addition of Takeda Takahashi to Mortal Kombat 1. Having grown up with the series and witnessed the evolution of characters like Kenshi and the Shirai Ryu clan, it’s fascinating to see how Takeda’s story unfolds.

NetherRealm Studios has unveiled the release date for the upcoming DLC fighter, Takeda Takahashi, in “Mortal Kombat 1”. In approximately one week, Takeda will join the game, marking the conclusion of its initial Kombat Pack. Characters added through this pack have been Omni-Man, Quan Chi, Ermac, Homelander, and Peacemaker. Prior to disclosing details about a potential second Kombat Pack for “MK1” at San Diego Comic Con, fans have been given a sneak peek of Takeda.

In a nearly three-minute trailer for Mortal Kombat 1, fresh action footage of Takeda is presented. The trailer focuses mainly on demonstrating Takeda’s move set, which is fast and includes intricate air combos. Towards the end, one of Takeda’s fatalities is unveiled, showing him brutally annihilating his opponent with his sharp whips before splitting their head in two.

I, Takeda Takahashi, was brought up in the world of Yakuza, just like my cousin Kenshi. But unlike him, I found joy in this chaotic lifestyle. When Kenshi’s crusade against his masters became a threat, I was chosen to put an end to it. The brutal fight left me severely wounded. With a heavy heart, I was taken by Kenshi to the Shirai Ryu for healing.

As a dedicated Mortal Kombat fan who has been eagerly anticipating the release of Takeda, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news with fellow combatants! NetherRealm Studios has officially confirmed that our beloved samurai warrior will make his grand entrance into Mortal Kombat 1 within the next week on July 23rd. However, this initial rollout is exclusively for those who have already purchased the Premium Edition or the full Kombat Pack in MK1.
