According to rumors, NetherRealm Studios may not be releasing a new expansion pack or storyline update for Mortal Kombat 1. However, the game’s current content plan is progressing smoothly, with Conan the Barbarian set to join the roster on January 28th, marking the final DLC character in Kombat Pack 2. The iconic T-1000 from Terminator 2: Judgment Day will be the last addition to this pack.
Even though we’ve already caught a glimpse of his in-game character, there’s still no confirmed release date as of yet. In the interim, director Ed Boon has unveiled a sneak peek at its gameplay, featuring a Fatality scene where the character is driving a wrecked semi-truck over an opponent. This particular Fatality seems to pay tribute to the iconic car chase sequence from a movie, but don’t expect Arnold Schwarzenegger’s T-800 to make an appearance and lend a helping hand this time around.
Keep an eye out for additional information and continued gameplay of the T-1000 before its release. It’s rumored that Mortal Kombat 1, which has already sold more than five million copies across Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch since launch, may soon introduce a new ninja character inspired by Pink Floyd.
As Conan falls into players’ possession, we can’t wait to continue our journey with upcoming DLC!
