Today, a fresh trailer dropped for Mortal Kombat 1‘s Pro Kompetition Season 2. While primarily designed to stir excitement for the competitive events, NetherRealm Studios also used this moment to introduce two additional characters coming to the game. With Conan’s launch imminent (less than a week away), we get a sneak peek at him in action, showcasing his Brutality. Throughout different media adaptations, Conan has been notorious for dealing out harsh beatings, and it seems he will continue to do so in Mortal Kombat 1.
In a gruesome display of violence, Conan is depicted seizing Scorpion by the shoulder and launching his sword skyward. Subsequently, he plunges a smaller weapon beneath Scorpion’s chin, followed by a series of punches that force the blade further into Scorpion’s face and upward through his skull. Upon the sword’s descent, Conan employs it to cleave Scorpion in two horizontally at the waist. This scene truly embodies the “Brutality” title, and there is as much gore as one would anticipate. The Pro Kompetition Season 2 trailer is accessible below, with the Brutality appearing at the 58-second mark.
In the recently released Mortal Kombat 1 game, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s resemblance to the character Conan is quite striking. This similarity has been known for a while, but what may surprise you is that the actor himself will not be providing his voice for the character. However, a strong stand-in has been found who sounds remarkably like Arnold in the 1982 movie. Some players might find it difficult to tell the difference between Conan’s voice in the game and the original film!
In the latest trailer for Mortal Kombat 1, Conan receives significant attention, yet it also reveals a sneak peek of the T-1000 character. The game will incorporate the likeness of Robert Patrick as portrayed in Terminator 2, and remarkably, he’ll reprise his role, contributing fresh voice lines. Regrettably, the trailer only offers a fleeting glimpse at the character. The brief appearance looks fantastic; NetherRealm has done an impressive job recreating T-1000, and there are intriguing details, such as the badge on T-1000 now reading “EarthRealm Police.” At one instance in the video, we also witness T-1000’s arm transforming into a liquid metal blade. It will be intriguing to see how these blades are incorporated into the character’s combat moves, but we’ll need to wait a while longer to watch them in action.
