As a tech-loving aficionado, I’ve got to say, my anticipation for STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl has seen its fair share of ups and downs, with the game’s development journey being quite the rollercoaster ride!
As a devoted fan, I’ve been closely following the situation at GSC Game World, a studio that has faced challenging circumstances due to the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. This war has garnered global condemnation, including from various sectors of the gaming industry. The impact this conflict has had on the studio and its employees is set to be explored in an upcoming documentary, which will air on the official Xbox YouTube channel on October 3, 2024. I’m eagerly waiting to learn more about their story.
After withstanding the pressure, the developers have nearly reached their goal, and STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl is now expected to release on November 20, 2024, available on both Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC. At its launch, it will also be accessible through Xbox Game Pass.
