Disney’s “The Lion King” has been a massive success, with the original from 1994 earning $968 million and the 2019 version raking in an astounding $1.6 billion. Now, Disney has revealed the first full-length trailer for the upcoming film titled “Mufasa,” scheduled to hit cinemas on December 20, 2024. This new movie delves into the improbable rise of the cherished king of the Pride Lands.

In the movie “The Lion King,” Mufasa enlists Rafiki to share his story with young lion cub Kiara, daughter of Simba and Nala. Alongside Timon and Pumbaa, they provide comic relief. The narrative unfolds through flashbacks, revealing that Mufasa was once an orphan who met a kind lion named Taka, the heir to a royal lineage. This encounter kick-starts a grand adventure for an unusual band of companions, who must discover their purpose while facing trials as they navigate dangerous obstacles together.
