Working alongside Barry Jenkins to bring Mufasa’s story to life has been an absolute joy, and we are eager for audiences to witness this cinematic masterpiece on the big screen.
In the movie “The Lion King”, Mufasa enlists Rafiki to share his own story with young lion cub Kiara, who is Simba and Nala’s daughter. Timon and Pumbaa, known for their unique humor, also play a part. The story unfolds through flashbacks, where we learn about Mufasa as a lost orphaned cub, eventually meeting a kind lion named Taka, the heir to a royal lineage. This encounter initiates a grand adventure for an eclectic band of outsiders seeking their fate. Their relationships will be put to the test as they collaborate to outmaneuver a menacing and dangerous adversary.
