MultiVersus Reveals New Beetlejuice Gameplay Trailer, Voice Actor, and More Details

As a long-time fan of Beetlejuice since his debut in Tim Burton’s iconic film, I am beyond excited to see him join the roster of MultiVersus! Growing up, Beetlejuice was always my favorite character, with his eccentric personality and unforgettable catchphrase. Seeing him in action in this new trailer is like a dream come true. The fact that he belongs to the game’s assassin class and has abilities such as spikes, hammers, sandworm assists, and even a flying beetle helper, just makes him all the more enticing to play.

Hey there, fellow gamers! I’m super excited because on August 20th, Beetlejuice is jumping into the action of MultiVersus! To mark this spooktacular occasion, Player First Games has dropped a fresh new trailer that gives us a sneak peek at our new assassin friend.

The new trailer for Beetlejuice in MultiVersus can be found below.

Beetlejuice will appear in two versions – a regular one and a Matador-style version. The trailer shows that other characters from MultiVersus will also have skins inspired by Beetlejuice. These “Afterlife” variants will be accessible for characters like Superman, Agent Smith, Joker, among others. Most designs are heavily influenced by the classic black and white striped suit, but some have a more distinctive touch. For instance, Marvin the Martian’s Afterlife variant features purple and yellow colors, with the black and white pattern appearing on his shoes and skirt.

In the game MultiVersus, some well-known actors have reprised their roles from past projects, with Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill back as Batman and the Joker. However, Michael Keaton, who is set to return as Beetlejuice in next month’s Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, won’t be lending his voice to Beetlejuice in MultiVersus. Fans had hoped that Stephen Ouimette might reprise his role from the animated Beetlejuice series, but it turns out that Christopher Swindle will be taking on the part instead. Swindle has some history with the character, having voiced Beetlejuice in the video game LEGO Dimensions previously.

In the upcoming Season 2, Beetlejuice is set to join the roster as the second playable character after Samurai Jack’s debut last month. As for what happens next with Beetlejuice, it remains a mystery. However, rumors from data mining indicate potential content related to franchises such as Harry Potter, Barbie, and Courage the Cowardly Dog may be on the horizon.
