My Hero Academia Creator Celebrates Mina's MVP Moment With New Art

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I must say that the latest developments in “My Hero Academia” have left me utterly thrilled and captivated! The anime’s seventh season is nearing its conclusion, but Kohei Horikoshi’s recent artwork featuring Mina Ashido, aka Pinky, has only added fuel to the anticipation.

Currently, My Hero Academia is deep into its seventh season, with every student from Class 1-A actively participating in the battle against All For One and Shigaraki. Although the anime has some crucial scenes left to portray, the manga version of this popular shonen series has already concluded. With the manga’s ending, creator Kohei Horikoshi now finds himself with more spare time. Instead of developing fresh escapades for Izuku Midoriya and his companions, the mangaka is producing new artwork to complement recent episodes. As Mina Ashido recently received attention in the latest anime episode, Horikoshi has unveiled a new piece of art showcasing Pinky.

In the 18th episode of the seventh series of “My Hero Academia,” All For One has never been more potent. By utilizing Eri’s Quirk to regenerate, the Demon Lord is growing increasingly resilient as his body counteracts attacks by causing All For One to become younger. This ability presents a dilemma for the heroes; they must wait for All For One to be de-aged into oblivion, but he has now reached his peak power. Despite All For One being the primary danger, Mina Ashido confronts an old enemy that hasn’t been seen since the initial episode of the anime.

Mina Ashido’s Acid Man

In a battle against the infamous “Sludge Villain”, Mina showcases her mastery over her Quirk by unleashing her most powerful move called “Acid Man”. The creator of “My Hero Academia”, Kohei Horikoshi, recently revealed how this technique was developed. He shared, “The upcoming ‘My Hero Academia’ anime features a special attack from Mina, named ‘Acid Man’. This move is inspired by the band ACIDMAN, which I have been fond of since high school. Their music has left a lasting impression on me, and I am grateful for their influence.

Mina Ashido’s True Strength

In the most recent episode of the anime, Ashido’s compassion was the standout element, contrasting with Mina’s ability to generate acid. Mina, known as “Acid Man”, expressed her aspiration to connect with more people by becoming a hero. This episode gave us a fleeting peek at what Mina might appear like without her pink exterior, and it enabled her to defeat the first villain of the series.

A significant aspect of Mina Ashido’s storyline for fans revolves around her connection with Eijiro Kirishima, known as Red Riot. Though they haven’t shared a romantic bond in the series so far, their interactions suggest a possible romantic future between them. When Red Riot lifted Mina, he declared that she has always been his heroine.

My Hero Academia’s Anime Future

You’re Next’, the fourth film in the franchise, is set to premiere in North American theaters next month. However, no word yet on whether this movie marks the end of the series.
