My Hero Academia Crowns Toga As Its Seventh Season MVP

As a gamer with a heart for anime, I can’t help but be captivated by the intricate web of emotions and action that unfolds in My Hero Academia. The latest episode featuring Himiko Toga has left me spellbound, much like her ability to create infinite doubles.

Unlike any other villain, Himiko Toga from My Hero Academia stands out uniquely. Despite possessing powers that make her almost invulnerable, she struggles to comprehend why the world rejects her peculiarities, given her unusual appetite for blood. Admittedly, it’s not hard to see why her behaviors might be off-putting, considering her unique dietary habits. In the climactic episode of season 7, Toga takes center stage as the battle against Uravity escalates into one of the most intense fights in the series so far.

Head’s up! If you haven’t seen the most recent episode of My Hero Academia’s seventh season titled “A Girl’s Ego”, beware that our discussion may contain significant spoilers. It appears that Toga, a member of the League of Villains, has reached a new level of power, potentially making her the strongest among Dabi, Shigaraki, and All For One. This newfound strength came from drinking Twice’s blood, which Himiko is using to create an endless number of doubles that are causing chaos for Class 1-A and the professional crime fighters of Hero Society on a massive scale. Fortunately, Uravity (Ochaco) believes she has a solution to stop Toga’s destructive rampage by wanting to engage in conversation with the troubled villainess.

Toga’s Troubles

In the heart-pounding penultimate episode of season seven, I found myself deeply immersed in Toga’s turmoil from her past. As a cascade of clones, birthed by Sad Man’s Parade, filled the scene, it was clear that her memories of being rejected by her parents due to her thirst for others’ blood were resurfacing. Unable to contain her pain, Toga lashed out at the world, eventually finding solace and acceptance among the League of Villains – a group that includes Shigaraki, Mr. Compress, Spinner, Dabi, and Twice – who embraced her unique identity.

As a dedicated fan, I found myself moved by some heartfelt exchanges between Uravity and Toga, where she delved deeper into her character and showed empathy towards the villain, despite her peculiar habits. After being wounded by Himiko, Uzumaki (Ochaco) displayed tremendous courage and revealed everything she had, which led to an incredible evolution of her Quirk to unprecedented heights. Amazingly, Uravity’s gravity-bending abilities now enabled her not only to levitate Toga but also a multitude of her clones that were posing a significant threat to the heroes. In a remarkable turn of events, Uzumaki confronted Himiko and managed to shatter through her cold, callous exterior.

The Toga/Ochaco Fight Ends

Instead of Toga’s Quirk temporarily stealing powers from others upon drinking their blood, let’s say her ability enables her to borrow powers for a short duration. For Twice specifically, the amount of blood consumed from her deceased comrade determines the number of Doubles she can produce. Due to Ochaco’s chat with the villain prolonging the situation, Toga loses her strongest power yet gains a fresh connection – a new friend. When Ochaco is asked if she finds Toga “cute”, these two unlikely allies find common ground and bring an end to the confrontation.

In the story “A Girl’s Ego”, although the fight seems to have concluded, it’s unclear if both contenders will endure the ordeal. The injury inflicted by Toga on Ochaco has caused Deku to bleed profusely, and even though he declared victory, it’s uncertain if his affection will persist through season seven. Fortunately, “My Hero Academia” still has one episode left to clarify some crucial questions before the seventh season concludes.
