My Hero Academia: Deku Voice Actor Teases the Hero's Future Amid Season 7

As a long-time fan of the superhero genre and someone who has grown up with My Hero Academia by my side, I can’t help but feel a mix of anticipation and melancholy as we approach the final stretch of this incredible journey. The voice actor Daiki Yamashita’s words resonate deeply with me, as they echo the spirit that has been at the heart of this series since its beginning: hope.

The popular manga series “My Hero Academia,” created by Kohei Horikoshi, has concluded, marking a decade since its debut. However, the anime adaptation is yet to reach its climax, providing excitement for fans of superhero shonen genres. In an exclusive interview with us at ComicBook, we spoke with Daiki Yamashita, who voices Izuku Midoriya in the series. During our conversation, Yamashita shared his insights on the character and his predictions about the future role of All Might’s successor.

During our conversation with Daiki Yamashita, the voice actor for Deku, he expressed great expectations for the current user of One For All: “It’s when we discuss conquering challenges together that the story truly unfolds… Izuku and his companions are battling to restore everyone’s smiles. As Deku mentioned at the beginning of season seven, his dream is to return everyone’s smiles. He will fight with every ounce of strength he possesses, visualizing in his mind the smiles that will be restored. One of my personal aspirations is for Deku and his allies to successfully restore those smiles, but I also want the heroes themselves to end up smiling.” It’s possible that people may not associate the return of smiles with heroic figures, but I hope that the heroes who saved us will also wear smiles on their faces.

My Hero Academia: Deku’s Future in Season Seven

In this seventh season, Deku has been battling Shigaraki, All For One, and their multitude of villains who aim to destroy Hero Society. The anime took a brief hiatus due to the Summer Olympics, but it’s coming back this week as Midoriya prepares to confront Tomura. Although Deku is now back at UA Academy, he still has numerous challenges ahead, with Shigaraki becoming increasingly powerful and Bakugo’s life remaining precarious.

Although the manga for My Hero Academia has concluded, it hasn’t been confirmed that the seventh season is the last for the anime adaptation. It seems quite possible that the eighth season may serve as the finale, causing speculation among fans about any potential upcoming movies and/or spin-off series within the shonen franchise.
