My Hero Academia Epilogue Reveals the Status of One For All’s Embers

As a dedicated fan of My Hero Academia, I’ve been following Deku’s journey since the very beginning, and it’s hard to believe that we’re now just one chapter away from the grand finale. The recent revelation about the extent of One For All’s remaining embers within Deku has left me both excited and saddened at the same time.

1. “My Hero Academia” is almost at its end, just one chapter remaining. We’ve learned how much of One For All’s remnants remain in Izuku Midoriya. The last few chapters have seen the manga series unfold a special epilogue after the climactic battles against Tomura Shigaraki and All For One. This journey has allowed Deku to explore and adapt to the world as it undergoes changes following the war, hinting that the hero community might continue without him now that his powers are dwindling.

During the final battle against All For One, it was evident that Deku was tapping into the last fragments of One For All’s power to vanquish the villain, and ever since then, he’s been dealing with those residual shreds. Even though the series has progressed, My Hero Academia hasn’t disclosed the true gravity of Deku’s predicament regarding his power. As we approach the next-to-last episode in the series, it’s apparent to Deku now that he may exhaust One For All altogether soon.

Will Deku Lose One For All?

In Chapter 429 of My Hero Academia, Deku rushes to a familiar spot where he and Ochaco had conversed prior to the war, sensing that she was hiding there. After an heartfelt reunion, Class 2-A arrives on the scene with Bakugo inquiring about Deku’s Ember, noting that One For All consumed quite a bit of energy for Deku to reach them so quickly. Deku assures everyone it’s alright, but a quick look at the ember reveals it’s losing its luminosity.

In this location, the rest of the class discovers that Deka’s access to One For All’s power will soon be taken away, leaving them all in tears. Deka feels sad about it as well, but understands that he has completed the transfer of One For All. He recognizes that no matter what happens to him, as long as people unite and demonstrate courage and heroism, they’ll move forward together. However, given the current situation, it seems unlikely that Deka will retain any of this power left to continue being a leading hero. He’ll have to find another way instead.
