My Hero Academia Features Another Major Villain Switching Sides

As a devoted fan of My Hero Academia who has been following this series since its inception, I must say that the recent episodes have been nothing short of exhilarating! The villains joining Deku and UA Academy students is a game-changer, adding an unexpected twist to the ongoing battle against Shigaraki and All For One.

A significant element in the latest episodes of “My Hero Academia’s” anime is the villains who have chosen to support Deku and the students of UA Academy. So far, we’ve witnessed Lady Nagant, La Brava, and Gentle Criminal entering the fray at crucial points during the battle against Shigaraki and All For One. Despite the heroes gaining momentum in this final battle, the villains manage to regain ground through some strategic moves and surprises. Now, another major villain has unexpectedly switched sides, adding a new combatant to the mix for our crime-fighting protagonists.

Head’s up! If you haven’t caught Episode 17 of My Hero Academia’s seventh season yet, beware as we’re delving into spoiler territory. Due to Lady Nagant’s actions, Shigaraki temporarily lost his arms, which gave an opening for our protagonist, Midoriya, to seize the initiative and shift the battle from UA Academy. However, things aren’t looking good for those heroes still on the floating battleground. The situation worsened as Toga produced numerous duplicates thanks to Twice’s power, leaving Eraserhead and Present Mic in a challenging predicament.

Kurogiri’s Change of Heart

In mid-air over the floating academy, Aizawa and Mic are unceremoniously ejected. Just when things look grim, an unlikely savior appears: Kurogiri, the Nomu designed by All For One to guard Shigaraki. Struggling against his programming, Kurogiri’s thoughts of his past friendship with Class 1-A teachers Erasurehead and Present Mic cause him to switch allegiances at the last moment, rescuing them from certain drowning. With the League of Villains now lacking their teleporter, the Hero Society gains a strategic advantage.

Where To Read Kurogiri’s Origin Story?

In the anime of My Hero Academia, we haven’t seen much about Oboro’s early days at UA Academy. However, this period has been detailed in the spin-off story called My Hero Academia: Vigilantes. This manga doesn’t just focus on heroes who work outside the official system like Crawler, Pop Step, and Knuckleduster; it also delves into the teenage years of Eraserhead, Present Mic, Midnight, and Oboro. Although there hasn’t been any confirmed news yet about an anime adaptation for Vigilantes, fans have been hoping for one for a while now.

Before becoming a teleportation-enabled Nomu known as Oboro, this character originally possessed a Quirk called “Cloud”. This unique ability enabled future Kurogiri to generate clouds capable of transporting objects and enhancing Oboro’s agility during battles. Unfortunately, in a past conflict, the life of young Oboro was lost prematurely, and All For One swiftly seized his body and transformed it into a Nomu.

My Hero Academia’s War Time Report

Despite Kurogiri no longer being the villains’ secret weapon, the harm they’ve inflicted might prove irreversible. Toga’s duplicates are now scattered globally, and it seems endless the number of doppelgangers she can produce. To make matters worse, All For One now has Dabi by his side, who is determined to take down his abusive father, the top hero Endeavor. As for UA Academy, it appears they’re making progress but then taking a step back in this final battle.

Fortunately, Class 1-A students are making significant strides. Tokoyami has utilized his maximum power, turning “Dark Shadow” into something resembling a giant monster (kaiju). As for who will emerge victorious in this conflict, given All For One as the target, the outcome is uncertain.
