My Hero Academia Season 7 Shines With the Anime's Best Fight Since Overhaul

As a long-time fan of My Hero Academia, I must say that episode 151 was a game changer! The fight between Deku and Shigaraki was nothing short of breathtaking, with Studio Bones outdoing themselves yet again. It’s not every day you get to witness a peak anime experience like this one.

There’s no question why My Hero Academia is hailed as one of the top shonen anime. In today’s era, characters like Deku and his peers have raised the bar for the industry. Thanks to Studio Bones, Deku has stepped into the shoes of legends such as Naruto Uzumaki, and he’s carried that legacy with some truly awe-inspiring scenes. This week, season seven of My Hero Academia pushed the limits even further by unleashing one of its most intense battles yet.

The narrative unfolded dramatically in episode 151 of My Hero Academia, focusing on Deku’s experiences at U.A. High School. This is where the protagonist encountered a harsh dose of reality when he witnessed the destruction around him. Shigaraki didn’t just defeat the professionals present, but went as far as killing Bakugo. With Edgeshot attempting risky revival techniques and Deku unsure about their success, our hero lost control and became enraged.

Before he can lose his cool entirely, Mirio is able to hone Deku’s rage, and he uses that emotion to kickstart his final fight with Shigaraki. The battle is nothing short of gorgeous, and you can see why in the slides below. From its color to its choreo and pacing, “A Chain of Events, Across the Ages” is a masterclass in animation. The episode is not only the most visually stunning of season seven, but it ranks as one of the best we’ve ever seen from My Hero Academia. So if you thought Studio Bones was going to nerf Deku vs Shigaraki, you better think again.

Looking forward to diving back into the world of anime? You can find my favorite show, “My Hero Academia,” streaming on both Hulu and Crunchyroll. For those who want to know more about this amazing series, here’s a brief overview:

“Izuku has dreamt of being a hero all his life-a lofty goal for anyone, but especially challenging for a kid with no superpowers. That’s right, in a world where eighty percent of the population has some kind of super-powered “quirk,” Izuku was unlucky enough to be born completely normal. But that’s not enough to stop him from enrolling in one of the world’s most prestigious hero academies.”

It Hits Different

ngl, I had flashbacks of the S6E9 Deku vs Shigaraki when I saw Blackchain and the Gears

Thankfully, they went above and beyond with the special effects; the diverse coloring of the smashes is delightful, and the flashes added a real impact to the punches, making them feel more substantial than just wind or smoke.

One of the Very Best

Man, let me tell you, duking it out with Shigaraki was hands down the most electrifying battle I’ve ever experienced in this entire series! The animation was top-notch, making every move feel intense and exhilarating. Absolute Cinema Deku really showed his stuff!

It’s Good to Be the Best

In this week’s episode 13 of My Hero Academia Season 7, it was simply outstanding! The artwork and animation were exceptional, the voice acting was top-notch, and the music was captivating. I must admit, hearing “You Say Run” played took me by surprise. This time, we got a glimpse of the second user’s Quirk, called “Gearshift.” And boy, did Deku give it his all with a 120% effort! The long-awaited battle between Deku and Shigaraki/AFO didn’t disappoint one bit.
