My Hero Academia Season 7 Turns Endeavor One of Anime's Greatest Dads

As a gamer who has spent countless hours immersed in the vast and varied world of anime, I can confidently say that the latest season of My Hero Academia has been nothing short of phenomenal. The final battle against All For One has been intense, with Shigaraki and Dabi’s battles standing out as particularly noteworthy. But it’s Endeavor’s storyline this week that truly stole the show.

In its seventh season’s closing stages, there’s no argument that “My Hero Academia” has been absolutely stellar this year. Upon its spring return, everyone was focused on Deku, our protagonist gearing up for war. Now, the climactic battle against All For One is in full swing, with each skirmish being as intense as it gets. Shigaraki has given a tough fight, but none have heated up like Dabi’s struggle. Interestingly, this week, “My Hero Academia” made a strong impact featuring Endeavor, demonstrating that he ranks among anime’s finest fathers.

In a remarkable sense, Endeavor is not just likable but exceptionally so. He has proven himself to be one of anime’s most intricate portrayals of a father, and his legacy, whether it turns out to be heroic or villainous, will be remembered in the annals of history.

As a dedicated gamer immersed in My Hero Academia’s world, I must say that Endeavor stands out as one of the most intricately crafted father figures. The nuances of his familial ties and his character progression infuse the narrative with layers upon layers of depth. #MHA #MyHeroAcademia

The Complex Nature of Endeavor’s Legacy

This week on My Hero Academia, Endeavor received a call as season seven unfolded and brought the arc “I Am Here” into reality. It was then that viewers witnessed Dabi’s reappearance in the war, having been previously subdued by Shoto. However, when Dabi resumed combat, his flames burned more intensely than ever, rendering Shoto’s ultimate move ineffective against the scorching heat. For a time, it appeared that the boy was doomed to succumb to Dabi, but fortunes shifted dramatically once the Todoroki family stepped in to help.

At his side, Shoto was joined by his mother and siblings as they used their icy powers to cool down Dabi. Shoto was then able to take out Dabi for real, and the battle’s final moments saw the villain reunite with Endeavor. The pro hero got on all fours to crawl to his eldest child, and it was there Endeavor stuck a chord with fans. Not only did he sincerely apologize to his family, but Endeavor did not talk back when his apologies were tossed away.

In this scene, Dabi was the one who initiated the emotional confrontation by shedding a tear before Endeavor and expressing his deep-seated hatred towards him. He then proceeded to curse out the entire family, to which Endeavor responded by urging his son to continue pouring out his feelings as a means of atonement for the years he neglected Toya (Dabi’s brother).

Has Endeavor Earned Forgiveness?

At the onset of Endeavor’s rehabilitation journey, the protagonist harbored aspirations of being pardoned, but those expectations have since shifted. The professional hero advanced somewhat when Fuyumi to a certain extent, yet following the Sports Festival, Shoto made a significant stride for his family. He came to understand that detachment was the most appropriate approach towards Endeavor, and the rest of the family adopted this stance as well. Natsuo’s anger has gradually transformed into such detachment, and this course of action resonated deeply with Endeavor upon Dabi’s unmasking.

In the light of his past transgressions, Dabi served as a stark reflection of Endeavor’s past mistakes. Realizing his approach to atonement was misguided, Endeavor understood that he could not be pardoned for his sins, but he could still make amends. There would be no redemption for the hero, but by confessing his errors, Endeavor moved one step closer to making amends. The seventh season of “My Hero Academia” illustrates this truth vividly as Endeavor doesn’t seek anything from Dabi following the war; instead, he simply wishes to hear Dabi out and absorb his anger.

When it comes to family, emotions run deep whether they are good or bad. The love there feels best, but its trauma stings the most. Endeavor made his home a nightmare for his family, and My Hero Academia has forced the hero to own up to that sin. The change he’s undergone since the Sports Festival is immense, and Endeavor is still striving to make amends without any expectations of forgiveness. That kind of selfless move is what makes Endeavor such a complex character. And as far as anime concerned, the pro hero will go down as one of the greats.
