My Hero Academia Team-Up Missions Ends: See the Stunning Final Cover Reveal Now!

Preparations are underway for the conclusion of another significant chapter in the saga of “My Hero Academia“, with the finale cover of its manga set to be published imminently. Since Kohei Horikoshi’s original “My Hero Academia” manga series concluded its run in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine last Summer, the franchise has been winding down. Unlike other spinoff projects like “My Hero Academia: Vigilantes”, it is noteworthy that the main series itself has come to an end. As fans eagerly await the conclusion of various side projects in the coming months, they will see more and more of these stories reach their climax.

Back in the day, I was totally hooked on a fantastic spinoff series called “My Hero Academia: Team-Up Missions.” This unique offshoot allowed us fans to witness thrilling team-ups between Class 1-A students and pro heroes that the main series didn’t have the time for. Following closely behind the conclusion of the main “My Hero Academia” series, this spinoff ran for five years before reaching its epic finale! Now, as I eagerly await the final volume to hit Japanese bookshelves, I can’t help but share a sneak peek at the breathtaking cover art for this grand finale.

How Does My Hero Academia: Team-Up Missions End?

Unlike “My Hero Academia” and “My Hero Academia: Vigilantes”, “My Hero Academia: Team-Up Missions” didn’t have an independent grand narrative of its own. Instead, it took place during the events of the main “My Hero Academia” series and provided a platform to explore fresh interactions between various hero duos that aren’t often depicted in the primary series. Created by Yoko Akiyama, the series debuted in 2019 and released chapters on a weekly basis. As a result, it didn’t share much story overall, with only eight volumes published to conclude its run.

As an observer, I noticed that since the spinoff couldn’t introduce major adventures without conflicting with the primary series’ narrative, it concluded with Deku and Class 1-A aiming to eventually become professional heroes in the future. This implies a connection to the main “My Hero Academia” series, where its own climactic ending showcases what Deku and Japan’s hero world transform into after battles against Tomura Shigaraki and All For One, hinting at a thrilling conclusion for the primary series.

What’s Next for My Hero Academia?

As we approach the conclusion of “My Hero Academia,” the ending of its spinoff series marks a significant milestone, signifying the culmination of an era that commenced a decade ago in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. With other series wrapping up their stories, the anime adaptations are preserving the vitality of the broader franchise. The latest installment, “My Hero Academia: Vigilantes,” is currently airing new episodes as part of the Spring 2025 anime lineup and can be streamed through Crunchyroll.

The main storyline is set to resume in its entirety this coming Fall with its eighth and concluding season, which goes by the title My Hero Academia FINAL SEASON. This final season, expected to debut sometime in October as per the Fall 2025 anime lineup, will be available for streaming simultaneously on Crunchyroll along with its release in Japan. In this final chapter of the anime, we’ll witness the climactic battles against All For One and Shigaraki, and catch a glimpse of how Deku and Class 1-A could usher in a new epoch of heroes.
