My Hero Academia Timeskip Confirms One Major Villain’s Death

As a dedicated gamer who has spent countless hours immersed in the captivating world of My Hero Academia, I can’t help but feel a deep sense of sorrow and melancholy upon learning about the demise of one of its most intriguing characters – Dabi. This isn’t just another in-game character who meets their end due to a glitch or an unfortunate boss fight. No, this is Toya Todoroki, a complex individual whose story mirrored the tumultuous journey of the series itself.

As a dedicated fan, I’m thrilled to share that “My Hero Academia” has unveiled a fresh chapter post its original series finale! This latest release has left no doubt about the demise of one significant villain since the conclusion of our beloved story. The manga wrapped up its decade-long journey with Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine this Summer, but the genius behind it all, Kohei Horikoshi, has managed to provide an even more definitive ending with the release of its final volume this month. With the final installment hitting the shelves, it also brings along a brand new chapter that delves deeper into the time skip hinted in the original finale.

In Volume 42 of “My Hero Academia,” a fresh chapter unfolds after the initial conclusion, offering insights into the future lives of Izuku Midoriya and his Class 1-A comrades that were left unseen in the original ending. This new installment offers further details about the current status of the hero world several years following their battle against All For One and Tomura Shigaraki, and it also sheds light on certain developments within the Todoroki family. As hinted at in the final chapters of “My Hero Academia,” Toya Todoroki has since passed away.

My Hero Academia Confirms Dabi Has Died

In Chapter 431 of “My Hero Academia,” approximately a month has passed since the events of Chapter 430, offering glimpses into the future pro hero society now embracing our former Class 1-A students as integral members. Each student has found their niche and climbed the hero rankings in unique ways; however, Shoto Todoroki stands out by reaching second place amidst the increasingly intricate rankings following All For One’s and Shigaraki’s defeat. Yet, Shoto himself is evolving too, as he seems to be making significant strides towards recovery from his brother’s loss.

In the previous chapter 426 of “My Hero Academia”, Toya Todoroki appeared to be severely weakened due to the intense strain of the war on his body. Dabi, with his reckless destructive path, seemed unlikely to survive for long, as the story unfolded towards the end of the manga. After a significant number of years have elapsed, Shoto discloses in chapter 431 that Toya is no longer alive; he had paid a visit to Toya’s grave earlier that day before Class 1-A held their gathering.

Dabi’s Death is My Hero Academia’s Biggest Tragedy

In the scope of “My Hero Academia”, it’s Dabi who experiences the most heart-wrenching destiny. A significant part of the narrative revolves around the Todoroki Family, revealing that Endeavor’s intense ambition to be the supreme hero distorted his understanding of true heroism. This was evident in his cruel treatment towards his family, which ultimately gave birth to the villain Dabi. Initially Toya Todoroki, he felt deceived and forsaken by his father, leading him on a vengeful journey fueled by fire.

As Dabi realized his time was running out, his quest for vengeance became increasingly self-destructive. He yearned to obliterate himself in a gruesome and public manner, not only tarnishing Endeavor’s reputation, but also aiming to destroy his father both physically and emotionally. His goal was to annihilate what was left of his father within him, and he sought acceptance from his family only at the brink of death. Regrettably, by then the damage inflicted on him – both physical and emotional – was irreversible.
