My Hero Academia Timeskip Reveals New Number One Hero (& Its Not Who You Think)

As a seasoned gamer and diehard fan of My Hero Academia, I must say that the 42nd volume has truly outdone itself! The post-credits scene revealing Mirio Togata as the new Number One hero was a shocker, to say the least. I’ve been following this series since its inception and never once did I imagine Lemillion would ascend to such heights!

In Japan, the 42nd volume of the popular manga “My Hero Academia” has been released, offering readers an exciting reason to read on. Despite the series having concluded earlier this year, its creator, Kohei Horikoshi, generously included additional content for his cherished superhero shonen series. This new material sheds light on what our heroes will be doing in the future and reveals who has been selected as the Number One Hero following the battle against Shigaraki and All For One. Although some assumptions may arise among fans, the identity of the new Symbol of Peace for the Hero Society might take you by surprise.

Heed this notice: If you wish to steer clear of spoilers about the “post-credit scene” from the last volume of My Hero Academia’s manga, be advised that we’ll delve into spoiler territory in this article. In the not-so-distant future depicted herein, the heroes who emerged victorious from the great war continue their crusade for truth and justice. Although Deku may no longer possess the power of One For All, he has returned to battle thanks to a cutting-edge suit provided by All Might. With Izuku Midoriya’s reemergence, both Bakugo and Shoto Todoroki have been dethroned from their top positions, but it is undoubtedly a former student of UA Academy who now stands at the pinnacle of power.

Lemillion Stands Supreme

Indeed, Mirio Togata has taken over as the leading hero now. Previously believed to be the successor of One For All from All Might before Deku came along, Mirio is now teaming up with the other two members of the Big Three in this future world. Accompanied by Nejire and Suneater, Lemillion might be the new top hero in Hero Society, but his unique humor and potent Quirk continue to remain unchanged.

Beyond acknowledging his top position, it’s important to note Mirio’s fresh new hairstyle as well. This style, reminiscent of the Fifth Element, is a point worth discussing independently from his leading position in the rankings. Even with Deku back on the crime-fighting scene, Mirio remains unique in terms of his haircut.

Will Mirio Stay Number One?

Apart from Lemillion holding the first position, several Class 1-A heroes have risen to leadership roles within the Hero Society. While Bakugo and Shoto Todoroki may not surpass Mirio in terms of hero rankings, they occupy the second and fifth spots respectively. These young prodigies have swiftly set their sights on becoming the foremost crime fighters in a world without All For One. Though My Hero Academia may someday come to an end, it’s safe to assume that both of these heroes will continue their efforts to combat crime and climb the ranks within the society.

Indeed, a significant scene from the last volume doesn’t feature Lemillion, instead, Kohei Horikoshi subtly hinted to fans about a possible romantic development between Deku and Uraraka in future instalments. Although their feelings towards each other were never explicitly expressed during the main storyline, this post-credits scene following the time skip leaves room for speculation and intrigue.
