My Hero Academia's Creator Shares New Shoji Art For Season Seven

As a gamer who’s been following My Hero Academia since its early days, I must say that Horikoshi never ceases to amaze me with his artistic skills and storytelling. The latest episode was a rollercoaster of emotions, with Tentacole fighting the beefed-up Spinner in a battle that’s sure to go down in anime history.

The manga adaptation of “My Hero Academia” has concluded, but creator Kohei Horikoshi isn’t finished with the superhero shonen series yet. As the anime series is still playing catch-up to its source material, the mangaka continues to produce new artwork for upcoming episodes. In the recent episode from UA Academy, Tentacole and Anima were seen working tirelessly to defeat Spinner and a group of Heteromorphs intent on destroying Hero Society. In an homage to the anime, Horikoshi sketched a fresh perspective of Tentacole and a young girl who significantly influenced the development of the young hero, Shoji.

In the climactic battle of My Hero Academia, Tentacole faces a transformed adversary in Spinner, who has strayed from his original villainous role. Previously All For One’s ally, Spinner gladly accepted the Quirks bestowed upon him. The combination of “Body Bulk” and “Scale Mail” have drastically altered the once diminutive antagonist, making him appear vastly different. With an army of 15,000 followers at his command, the combined forces of two hundred heroes and police officers will need to give their all to overcome this formidable foe.

My Hero Academia: Shoji The MVP

The recent anime installment didn’t just highlight Shoji battling Spinner, but it also delved into Tentacole’s past. Similar to other heteromorphs in Hero Society, Mozu was shunned by his community due to his looks. However, contrary to this treatment, Tentacole showed a compassionate side by rescuing a young girl from a strong current. Meanwhile, Kohei Horikoshi has introduced an updated portrayal of Shoji as well as the girl he once saved in his latest artwork.

As the manga version of “My Hero Academia” concludes, it’s expected that the anime adaptation has only one more season left before it follows suit. Given the narrative progression from the original content, season eight could potentially serve as the final chapter for the anime series, wrapping up the climactic battle. It goes without saying that Shoji and Koda will likely have significant roles in the upcoming anime episodes.

Are you curious about whether Shoji will defeat Spinner in their individual fight? Keep up with Team Anime on ComicBook for the most recent news regarding UA Academy.
