My Mum, Your Dad won’t return this year as ITV shelves Davina McCall series

Currently, it seems unlikely that ITV’s reality dating series, My Mum, Your Dad, will be renewed for additional seasons in the near future.

In this show, led by Davina McCall, a collection of single parents were selected by their grown-up kids for an opportunity to rekindle romance and find new love once more.

In a peaceful countryside home, the parents aimed to rediscover genuine love again, oblivious to the fact that their kids, along with other aspiring youths, were secretly observing from a neighboring spot.

However, after two seasons on our screens, it looks like the show has officially been shelved.

Reports from The Sun suggest that the series was supposed to commence filming its third season this coming spring; however, it has been cancelled due to a shortage of viable male characters who could participate in the storyline.

A source informed The Sun, “They faced this challenge back in 2024 during the production of the second season, barely scraping by to assemble sufficient participants.

However, they found that the third trip would prove challenging, so they opted for a temporary pause instead.
