The detective-themed game titled “Mystereet: Yasogami Kaoru’s Decision” is set to release on PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam in the year 2025 in Japan, as announced by MAGES. This means that players will be able to immerse themselves in this adventure game on their preferred platforms within the specified timeframe.
The game’s teaser site revealed an update, which switched the listed platforms from “Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4” to “Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Steam,” and also included a projected release date range of 2025.
This game, titled “Mystereet: Yasogami Kaoru no Chousen!“, is a revamped version of the original “Mystereet” game that initially debuted on PC as “Mystereet: Fukagyaku Sekai no Tantei Shishi” in 2004. Over time, it was adapted for PlayStation 2 as “Mystereet: Yasogamo Kaoru no Jiken File“, and later for PlayStation Portable as “Mystereet Portable: Yasogamo Kaoru no Chousen!“. The PlayStation Portable version, featuring a set of mini scenarios known as “Kaoru Yasogami’s Case Files,” was also re-released on PC as “Mystereet Windows: Yasogamo Kaoru no Chousen!“. This new port is likely derived from the PlayStation Portable version.
Initially, a set named “Mystereet F: The Detectives’ Curtain Call” which encompassed both “Mystereet: Yasogami Kaoru no Chousen!” and its sequel “Mystereet 2: Farewell Encounter,” was proposed. However, it was ultimately decided to release the first game independently instead. A notice on the teaser site from before hinted that an update about the sequel would be shared once things were clarified.
