For years now, I’ve honed my strides not just on the runway, but right in the heart of my home – my kitchen. In the blossoming phase of her fashion career, Kai draws inspiration from fellow transgender models like Hunter Schafer and Alex Consani. This inspiration is particularly strong during a period when Kai feels the community is experiencing an especially aggressive backlash.
In her own words, she shared that, being a young transgender woman, she consistently admires and learns from older members of the transgender community, particularly when it comes to fashion. She added that it’s wonderful to see such a powerful community thriving in the fashion industry; for her, it feels like a revolution led by dolls.
Kai isn’t venturing on her catwalk conquest by herself. Her father, who is also the father of Sasha Schreiber, 17, and Hazel, 18 months, with Naomi, as well as husband to Taylor Neisen, stands behind her unwaveringly – even in the face of criticism when she was labeled a “nepo baby” after her debut on the runway.
In March, Liev shared with TMZ, “She makes decisions about her own life, and I couldn’t be more proud. She truly excelled on that show.
