Narrative simulation game Snow Town Geek Store announced for PC

The creator of the game “Torn Away”, known as perelesoq, has unveiled a new project titled “Snow Town Geek Store“. This is an engaging narrative simulation where you assume the role of a salesperson in a ’00s-themed geek store. The anticipated release will be on PC through Steam, but a specific launch date remains undisclosed for now.

Here is an overview of the game, via perelesoq:

Snow Town Geek Store is a simulator where you work as a salesman in a 2000s-style geek store.

In this scenario, the character is living as a high school dropout who’s trying to accumulate funds for his mom’s vacation and a better life for himself. He earns an income by selling various items such as old video games like Half-Life, The Sims 2, and Shrek DVDs, snacks including Cheetos, beer, and Hubba Bubba gum. He also collects rare merchandise and pogs, personalizes his workspace, and offers retro mini-games for entertainment. To gain an edge, he might bend the rules (if morally acceptable) by deceiving customers or using his conversational skills to understand their needs or preferences. By carefully selecting products, he aims to transform his modest shop into a haven for geeks, or potentially a secret spot for black market goods.

Could it be that she’ll regard you more if you approach things this way? This game combines vibrant, pixelated visuals from a third-person perspective with 3D graphics reminiscent of the PlayStation 1 in first-person view.

The sound effects are inspired by 8-bit games and The Sims series.
