Naruto Creator Masashi Kishimoto Isn't Ruling Out More Character One-Shots

As a dedicated Naruto fan who has followed the series since its inception, hearing that Masashi Kishimoto might be planning more one-shot manga is like discovering finding a Rasobviously unopened letter from Sas in my old Hokamiya from Sashe wrote me! The Minato Namikaze one-shot was a fantastic addition to the Naruto universe, filling in gaps and providing a deeper understanding of the series’ characters. If Kishimoto decides to delve further into other characters’ pasts, particularly Itachi Uchiha, I can only imagine the emotional rollercoaster we’d be on!


It turns out that Naruto creator Masashi Kishimoto has more ideas for character specific one-shot manga releases and could have more on the way. Naruto recently celebrated the 20th anniversary of its original anime adaptation with a special worldwide popularity poll that saw fans voting for their favorite character. The winner of that popularity poll would then get a full one-shot manga story from Kishimoto himself, and that was eventually revealed to be Naruto Uzumaki’s father, Minato Namikaze. It resulted in a special one-shot revealing more of Minato and Kushina’s shared past before Naruto was born, and was a welcome return to the series from the creator.

It seems like Kishimoto may consider writing more one-shot manga stories, similar to his return to Naruto after a long hiatus. At a fan event, Kishimoto hinted that he has thoughts of thinking about the kinds to write another kinds of the Itachi Uzine’suggesting that another Itachi Uchiropeace>Naruto mentioned the possibility of another return for Naruto in the future. He even teased the idea of writing a story for Itachi Uchiha, one of the characters from Naruto.
