As someone who has spent countless hours immersed in the world of Naruto, this latest development has me doing the iconic Naruto run! The idea of stepping into the Hidden Leaf Village, strolling through the bustling streets of Konoha, and maybe even having a bite at Ichiraku Ramen is a dream come true for any fan.
“Naruto” is one of Japan’s most significant series, and its characters are on par with renowned ones such as Goku and Luffy. With over two decades of existence, “Naruto” has made a significant impact, earning the loyalty of countless fans. This popularity is evident in its recent theme park deal, which will enable fans to explore the Hidden Leaf village themselves within a few years.
News directly from France: Manga News broadcasted live from the “Naruto Shippuden: Symphonic Experience.” At this event, Masashi Kishimoto’s popular series was presented to fans, culminating in a significant announcement. The Parc Spirou Provence theme park is planning to establish its own “Naruto” section, which will open to the public in 2026.
Naruto Is Getting Its Very Own Theme Park
As per the recent announcement, over three hectares of Parc Spirou Provence are set aside for a dedicated Naruto zone. This addition to the theme park will be unveiled in 2026 and boast an assortment of entertainment options such as rides, restaurants, and stores specifically tailored for Naruto fans. In close collaboration with Shueisha, Parc Spirou Provence is meticulously planning the layout for this new area to provide a truly immersive experience for visitors.
It’s a tremendous pleasure and privilege for us to breathe life into the world of Naruto at Spirou Park. We’ve been meticulously working on this remarkable expansion for four years, collaborating with Mediatoon Licensing, our Japanese partners Shueisha, Studio Pierrot, and TV Tokyo. This project is aimed at providing park visitors with an incredibly engaging and immersive theme park experience.” – Herve Lux explained.
If you’ve never heard of Parc Spirou Provence before, let me fill you in: Situated in Monteux and opened in 2018, this destination is associated with Dupuis, a well-known comic publisher. As such, it showcases popular characters like the Smurfs. Boasting almost two million visitors so far, Parc Spirou Provence has been attracting tourists, making it an up-and-coming choice for travelers. And here’s some exciting news: In 2026, a Naruto-themed park is set to open there, which makes a visit to France even more enticing if you’ve dreamed of exploring the Hidden Leaf Village!
The Recent Rise of Anime Theme Parks Is Overdue
The excitement surrounding the new Naruto-themed amusement park is palpable, yet it’s important to remember that Naruto has experienced similar thrills before. In fact, there’s already a Naruto theme park situated on Awaji Island, Japan, known as Naruto & Boruto Shinobi-zato. This park boasts a life-size replica of the Hokage Mountain and various areas reminiscent of the Hidden Leaf Village. From Ichiraku Ramen to the Ninja Academy, it offers an immersive experience complete with AR attractions and labyrinths. Established some time ago, this park is set to expand further under the new theme park deal. If we’re fortunate enough to have a shinobi roller coaster added, that would be the cherry on top!
In addition to “Naruto”, anime as a genre has grown increasingly attractive for theme park developers. Over the past decade, popular franchises like “Pokemon” and “One Piece” have been targeted by numerous theme park partnerships. Universal Studios Japan has led many of these collaborations through its Cool Japan initiative, featuring shows such as “Neon Genesis Evangelion”, “Detective Conan”, and “Demon Slayer”. Currently, “Jujutsu Kaisen” is the featured anime at Universal Studios, with plans for a similar attraction to come to Universal Studios Hollywood in 2025 for fans in the United States.
Absolutely, no other deals come close to what Studio Ghibli accomplished with its collection of works. This renowned anime studio took things up a notch by establishing a theme park that emphasizes nature and art. Goro Miyazaki oversaw the project, and the Ghibli Park was unveiled a few years ago. The park showcases various areas inspired by Studio Ghibli’s most beloved films, including Spirited Away and My Neighbor Totoro. It even boasts a replica of Howl’s actual moving castle, making it the clear leader in anime-themed parks.
