Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Is Making a Comeback

As a seasoned Naruto fan who’s witnessed the rise and fall of many video game adaptations, I must say that the return of Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm is like a long-lost friend coming home. It’s been a decade and a half since its initial release, yet it still holds a special place in my heart (and gaming library).

Fans of Naruto have been treated to numerous video game adaptations throughout the years, but much credit goes to the PS3 game, Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm, released in 2018, which launched the entire Ultimate Ninja Storm series. This series resulted in three more games within the same franchise. However, since 2016, when Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 was out, fans haven’t experienced another game from this series. Now, fast-forward to the present day, and we’re on the verge of seeing the original Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm make a return, offering a fresh play experience almost 16 years after its initial release.

This month, Bandai Namco has announced that the popular game Naruto will be re-released. Originally released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in 2017, with a Nintendo Switch version following in 2018, it is set to become available on mobile devices on September 25th.

At long last, the 3D action-packed Naruto game arrives on smartphones! As stated on its new iOS page, immerse yourself in the tales and fights from Naruto’s youth using stunning visuals!

In this solitary version of the Naruto game, you’ll encounter a narrative-driven mode featuring various missions and fights tied to iconic moments that devoted Naruto fans will likely recognize. Additionally, it offers a “Free Battle Mode” boasting 25 unique characters for selection.

Since the original “Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm” was launched more than 15 years ago, it’s only natural that the Naruto game is being updated with contemporary enhancements to keep it competitive with other current games. It now includes an autosave feature and offers multiple control options, including casual or manual settings. As a mobile game, you can expect touch controls for easy navigation. A snapshot of the new controls, as displayed on the game’s site, is provided below for your reference. Additionally, being a single-player game, you have the ability to pause it, allowing you ample time to get accustomed to the mobile controls if needed.

Bandai Namco announced that the game is now accessible, but in reality, it’s set to debut on iOS and Android devices on September 24th. Keep in mind that unlike its mobile counterparts, this Naruto game will not be free; instead, you’ll need to purchase it for $9.99 through either the Google Play or App Store marketplaces. However, this price is lower compared to what you might find on other contemporary platforms where it sells for $19.99.
