As a gamer who’s been around since the days of floppy disks and pixelated graphics, I must say, Naughty Dog has done it again with Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. The retro vibe is strong, but it’s the Adidas sneakers that really take me back!
Since 2020, Naughty Dog’s forthcoming title has at last been unveiled. It’s titled “Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet”, and as previous whispers hinted, this is indeed a science fiction action game designed exclusively for the PlayStation 5.
You can already feel the budget oozing out of the screen for this one. The game’s clearly shooting for a kind of retro feel, with its focus on old CDs and Adidas sneakers.
An official launch date hasn’t been announced yet, however, considering the extensive development phase of Intergalactic, it seems likely that it won’t be much longer. Also, for your information, the reveal trailer was entirely created using the game engine itself.
