Neil Druckmann Confirms Producer Role on Unannounced Naughty Dog Project

Neil Druckmann, president of Naughty Dog, is currently immersed in the creation of “Intergalactic,” a fresh sci-fi concept destined for the PS5. Yet, in a recent chat with Press X to Continue, he disclosed that he’s also serving as a producer on another game under development at the studio.

As a gamer, I got the chance to guide and observe another talented crew, offering suggestions and essentially playing the role of the boss. Switching between projects keeps my job thrilling, and each new project feels like a breath of fresh air.

Indeed, there are many questions about what this project might be. It’s been whispered that Naughty Dog has abandoned a secretive single-player project led by Vinit Agarwal following the shelving of their multiplayer title, The Last of Us: Online. However, it seems another single-player game has allegedly been under development for the past three years.

Reportedly led by Shaun Escayg, known for his work on Marvel’s Avengers, details about the nature of the project remain a mystery. Given that Druckmann has hinted at several “ambitious, original” single-player games in development, it leaves one wondering if he is connected to Escayg’s project or perhaps another project entirely.

Currently, it’s uncertain when or if the project named “Intergalactic” will be launched as there’s no specified release date yet. Keep an eye out for future announcements.
