Similar to the ’80s games, the new Carmen Sandiego will involve players gathering clues by talking to non-player characters (NPCs) and compiling dossiers on suspects. Additionally, a classic mode called The Acme Files will be included. This mode will showcase a vintage visual style that harks back to the original Carmen Sandiego PC games.
The well-known series, Carmen Sandiego, is being created by the game company, Gameloft, who are also responsible for the widely appreciated Disney Dreamlight Valley. As confirmed by the developers, this upcoming game will be a solo-player adventure title, devoid of in-game transactions or online multiplayer features. In a press statement, Manea Castet, studio manager at Gameloft Brisbane, discussed their aim to preserve the classic aspects of the series while simultaneously introducing something fresh and innovative.
