Netflix Shoots Down Streaming Bundle With Competitors Like Disney+ or Max

As a dedicated streamer and someone who has been following the industry’s developments closely, I have to admit that I’m intrigued by the recent move towards bundling services like Disney+ and Max. But as a long-time Netflix subscriber, I’m content with my current setup.

After the dust from the streaming wars has faded, the industry is still evolving. Although each movie studio now has its own streaming service, former rivals are becoming allies. For instance, Disney+ and Max have set aside their differences and created a joint bundle, allowing subscribers to save money by subscribing to both platforms at once. Contrastingly, Netflix does not intend to collaborate with another platform in this manner.

Since the beginning of streaming, we’ve valued collaborations with device manufacturers and pay TV and mobile service providers. These partnerships have been essential for making Netflix easily accessible and user-friendly. They bring advantages for both parties: consumers can effortlessly discover, subscribe, access, and pay for Netflix, while our partners enjoy increased sales of devices compatible with Netflix, expanded customer base, higher retention rates, and the chance to offer additional data or content packages as upsells. In the letter, we explained that we haven’t teamed up Netflix with other streaming services like Disney+ or Max yet. The reason being, Netflix functions as a primary choice for entertainment due to its extensive and diverse content library and superior user experience. As a result, we have achieved remarkable industry penetration, user engagement, and retention. Bundling Netflix directly with other streamers would not significantly benefit us since our strong position in the market limits this advantage.

Where to get Disney+ and Max bundle

At the moment, the Disney+ and Max bundle, which was advertised as launching this summer, is still not officially up and running.

Following the successful introduction of Hulu on Disney+, Disney Entertainment’s direct-to-consumer president Joe Earley announced a new bundle with Max. This addition will provide subscribers with additional options and worth, according to his statement. By teaming up with Max in this remarkable collaboration, we prioritize our subscribers, granting them access to an extensive collection of blockbuster movies, original productions, and three impressive libraries showcasing top brands and today’s most popular streaming entertainment.

Based on my experience working in the media industry and observing the latest trends, I strongly believe that JB Perrette’s new streaming offering is a game-changer. As someone who has kept up with the constant evolution of entertainment consumption habits, I can attest to the growing demand for value and diversity in content.
