On Tuesday, another exciting Warner Bros. production scheduled for 2024 also became available on Netflix, promising an adrenaline rush to anyone who decides to watch it.
The movie under discussion is none other than “Trap,” the latest thriller from acclaimed director M. Night Shyamalan. Featuring a standout performance by Josh Hartnett, “Trap” follows a notorious murderer who brings his daughter to a popular pop star’s concert. In an attempt to blend in undetected, the killer (Hartnett) employs clever tactics to avoid capture during the event.
The movie titled “Trap” premiered in August and managed to generate a decent income at the box office. It raked in more than $83 million worldwide, comfortably surpassing its rumored $30 million production cost, a sum that M. Night Shyamalan personally covered.
Starting from October, the movie “Trap” has been accessible for streaming on Max, which is Warner Bros. Discovery’s own streaming platform. The fact that it’s also available on Netflix doesn’t affect its availability on Max, as you can find “Trap” on both streaming services now.

The controversial and costly original film “The Electric State” is scheduled for release on Netflix this Friday, but it’s the only significant film addition on this week’s schedule. Regrettably for M. Night Shyamalan enthusiasts, there are only two movies by this filmmaker available on Netflix: “Trap” and the universally panned “After Earth,” a sci-fi adventure with Will Smith that is often criticized as one of his weakest works. If you’re seeking more of his classic, twisty films, you might need to explore other streaming platforms for those.
