However, one particular moment that stood out for me was the unexpected loss of The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX to Brock Lesnar.
Over six episodes, Netflix’s documentary about Vince McMahon, titled Mr. McMahon, delves into his journey in the wrestling industry and WWE, spanning various periods. It recounts events that took place both inside and outside the ring. The discussion on concussions and CTE is recurring, with a notable segment focusing on Undertaker’s match against Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania XXX. Undertaker admits he can’t recall the match due to an early concussion, but McMahon suggests this might be more related to the emotional impact of Lesnar’s win rather than a concussion itself.
An Unexpected Loss
At WrestleMania XXX, fans were taken aback by Undertaker’s loss to Brock Lesnar, but it appears that even Undertaker himself was caught off guard by the outcome. According to the documentary, Vince McMahon informed Undertaker that Lesnar would be the victor, and while Undertaker admitted it was an unexpected choice, he revealed that he had sustained a concussion early in the match against Lesnar. Despite this injury, Undertaker continued to wrestle for another 20 to 25 minutes.
