Netflix's One Piece Announces Season Two Arcs

As a seasoned gamer and long-time anime enthusiast with over two decades of unwavering loyalty to the One Piece franchise under my belt, I must say that Netflix’s decision to adapt the Alabasta arc for the third season leaves me slightly disappointed, but not completely disheartened.

The news is out: Netflix’s second season of “One Piece” is approaching soon! As you may recall, production resumed last month. Recently, we got some insights into how deep season two will dive. In a letter to fans, the series creator Eiichiro Oda shared updates on the live-action project, and Netflix revealed its planned arc order for season two.

As a dedicated fan, I can confidently say that we now know whether Alabasta will feature in the second season of One Piece. However, Oda hints that it won’t be part of the show’s upcoming season. But if Netflix decides to grant us a third season, then we might just get to visit Alabasta again!

As per Oda’s announcement, One Piece season two is set to commence with a significant arc that many fans have anticipated. The journey will recommence from Loguetown, and subsequently, Netflix plans to cover multiple other arcs. For a comprehensive overview of the upcoming arcs, you can refer to the guide map for season two provided below:

  • Loguetown
  • Reverse Mountain
  • Whiskey Peak
  • Little Garden
  • Drum Island

In the second season of One Piece, you’ll notice it’s packed with action. The final part, in particular, will challenge the Straw Hat crew in a way they haven’t experienced before. Drum Island is one of several significant arcs in the early stages of One Piece. This arc introduces Tony Tony Chopper to the group and sets up a confrontation with another powerful adversary for the Straw Hats. By the end of Drum Island, Luffy has become stronger, preparing him for his adventure through Alabasta. Fortunately, Netflix plans to conclude season two with the Drum Island arc, leaving Vivi’s homeland for season three.

If you’re eager to explore the season two arcs of One Piece right away, consider yourself fortunate! Not only did Oda publish these storylines in the manga long ago, but the anime adaptation has also covered them. You can stream this popular anime on Crunchyroll, Netflix, and Hulu.
