Netflix’s One Piece: Lera Abova Speaks Out on Nico Robin Casting

Greetings Grand Fleet, this is Lera Abova speaking. You may also recognize me as Miss All Sunday. To start off, let me express my gratitude for the warm welcome I’ve received from you all. I can hardly contain my excitement about joining this remarkable journey. For now though, I must return to Cape Town to continue filming Season 2. But trust me, there are hidden gems and intriguing mysteries waiting for you that will leave you on the edge of your seats. As they say, “Knowledge is power,” Nakama. Rest assured, Miss All Sunday has a lot more in store, as her enigmatic persona suggests.

Fans of “One Piece” manga and anime know very well that Nico Robin is a significant new character introduced in Season 2, bringing along important storylines for the future. For instance, her initial appearance was as a member of Baroque Works alongside Joe Manganiello’s Mr. 0 (also known as Sir Crocodile). Moreover, she is expected to play an even more crucial role in potential future seasons of the live-action series if “One Piece” continues beyond Season 2.

What to Know for Netflix’s One Piece Season 2

The second season of “One Piece” is being developed for future release on Netflix, though a specific launch date or window remains unannounced at this time. As previously announced by the creator Eiichiro Oda, the upcoming episodes will cover the Loguetown, Reverse Mountain (Twin Cape), Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, and Drum Island story arcs from the original manga, which means Nico Robin’s part in the series could become more significant since she plays a more substantial role later on.

Similar to the first season, it appears that the second season will dedicate time to delve deeper into characters who had limited screen presence in the original One Piece. This is a distinctive feature of the live-action series as numerous characters are expected to have expanded roles due to the advantages of hindsight (since what may seem insignificant now could lead to major events later). It’s likely that we will witness more of Robin in Season 2, setting the stage for her greater involvement in the plot.
