As a long-time One Piece enthusiast and someone who has been through countless adventures with Luffy and his crew, I am thrilled to see the progress of Season 2 of the live-action series on Netflix. The addition of Lera Abova as Nico Robin is a fantastic choice, and her recent wrap on filming only solidifies my excitement for what’s to come.
The live-action adaptation of One Piece, which enjoyed great success on Netflix last year, is currently in production for its second season. The actress portraying Nico Robin recently offered an encouraging update about her progress as she has completed filming her scenes for this upcoming season.
In the upcoming season of the live-action series on Netflix, some new characters will be introduced, and fans of One Piece are particularly eager to see Nico Robin. Lera Abova has been cast as Robin for Season 2, and she completed her filming part earlier this fall. A recent Instagram post by Abova hints that filming for the series is nearly complete, which brings us one step closer to the global release of One Piece Season 2 on Netflix.
What Will Nico Robin Be Up To in One Piece Season 2?
Season 2 of “One Piece” is set to commence the Straw Hats’ first voyage across the Grand Line. According to the series creator Eiichiro Oda, the upcoming episodes will adapt storylines from the original manga, including the Loguetown, Reverse Mountain (Twin Cape), Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, and Drum Island arcs. This has been supported by numerous new characters joining the cast this year, with Robin contributing to the setup of what’s to come next.
The live-action adaptation of “One Piece” has already deviated from the original storyline during its first season and may continue to do so. Although Robin doesn’t have a significant role in any of the Baroque Works arcs within the series, there is a possibility that Netflix could expand her character’s presence, as fans eagerly anticipate seeing more of her when opportunities arise.

When Will One Piece Season 2 Release on Netflix?
Regarding the release of One Piece Season 2, I’m sorry to inform you that Netflix hasn’t specified any release window or date at the moment. Unlike the first season which took almost a decade to air, we may not have to wait as long for the second season. Since Eiichiro Oda is deeply involved in the production process, it might lead to a faster release this time.
If the actors are finishing their stint on the show, it’s just a question of when we can expect the next season. Assuming everything goes well and the production timeline remains consistent, One Piece Season 2 should become available on Netflix around early 2026. There’s a chance we could watch new episodes as late as 2025, but it’s more probable that we’ll see trailers and promotional content in the coming year while patiently waiting for its comeback in 2026.
